Katrien is a cacao and chocolate lover, and the founder and driving force behind Silva Cacao. She holds a master degree in bio-science engineering (KU Leuven) and economics (Ghent University), and has over 15 years of experience in coffee and cacao sourcing, logistics, quality and sustainability.

Katrien is passionate about the pursuit of flavour, finding lost varieties and building meaningful cacao-partnerships. Her ultimate mission is to put a smile on the faces of farmers, chocolate makers and consumers.
